Located
in the southwest of the peninsula, the island of Jeju is a volcanic
island that has a width of 73 km from west to east and 31 km from north

Mount Hallasan is perhaps the most prominent geographical feature in Jeju, located in the middle of the island. Seongsan Ilchulbong peak renowned for sedimentologis characteristics and is one of the best places in the world to study volcanic eruptions. The third world cultural heritage that Geomunoreum lava tube system is a series of lava caves in the world. Jeju has three major tourist destination is the city of Jeju, Seogwipo and Jungmun resort.
